PESTO EGGS RECIPE






Ingredients

Bread of choice

•Unsalted butter

• Grated Parmesan cheese

• Pesto

• 2 Eggs

1 tsp. runny honey

• Avocado, olive oil, crushed red pepper, sea salt and pepper, for garnish

 

 

Pesto Eggs are amazing food to eat and it’s easy to make whenever you have tight schedule. Sometimes simple thing is the best to do. Best for the breakfast and snacks.

 

What do pesto eggs taste like?

If you are fan of pesto eggs then you will love its flavor for sure. You will get a huge hit of basil, flavour of garlic, cheesy parmesan, olive oil, and nutty toasted pine nuts.

All these flavours make pesto eggs rich and amazing delicious which you will love to eat.

 

Doesn’t know about how to make it?

You need:

  • 1 large bunch of basil
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic

·         1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1/3 cup toasted pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan
  • salt and pepper

How to make pesto eggs

  1. First, you have to add a couple of tablespoons of pesto to a non-stick skillet. Spread it around and let the oil heat up.
  2. When the oil is hot, crack and egg (or two) into the pesto.
  3. Then the egg will cook slowly until it’s at your desired doneness (NB: don’t turn the heat up too high or the pesto will burn).
  4. Enjoy sprinkled with chili flakes and flaky sea salt!

 

Helping Tips

  • Try to keep the heat on low so the pesto doesn’t burn
  • Store bought pesto works but if you have the time and homemade  pesto is delicious.
  • Try the eggs scrambled instead of sunny side up
